great stay near parks and fun attractions for weekend explorers

I had a wonderful weekend stay with super clean rooms and comfy beds, which truly made my city explorations enjoyable. I loved that it was just a short stroll to Lake Houston and many tasty restaurants nearby, perfect for grabbing a bite after a day of walking.

The hotel features an outdoor pool that offers a nice spot to relax after a long day. There’s also a gym available, even though it's small, it gets the job done for a quick workout.

Upon entering my room, I noticed some wear and tear that could use attention, like a ripped carpet and scratched walls. The air conditioning struggled to keep the space cool, only managing to chill half the room well into the night, which made for an uncomfortable sleep in the heat. The breakfast options felt very basic and lacked much variety, so don't expect a gourmet spread in the morning.

The rooms were cozy and well laid out. The breakfast was hot and just what we needed for a good start. We especially enjoyed the seasonal outdoor pool and relaxing at the jacuzzi. The only thing was that the bed was a bit too firm for my taste, but I'd still recommend this place for a comfy stay! 😊

stayed for 4 nights in a king room and really enjoyed my time at la quinta. the location is super convenient, close to shops and dining. staff were genuinely friendly, always ready to help. the housekeeping team did an amazing job keeping our room spotless. loved the 24-hour coffee availability too!
